What “Care to Be Different” Really Means to Us

Welcome to the first installment of our Care to Be Different blog series, where leaders from Aaniie will share insights from working in technology and healthcare spaces, lessons learned from working alongside hundreds of agencies, and perspectives on where the industry is headed.

“Care to Be Different” is more than a tagline at Aaniie. It’s the philosophy that has guided us from day one and continues to shape how we think about innovation, partnership, and the future of care in the home.
That philosophy began with a simple belief: there had to be a better way.
It Started With a Personal Mission
The path to founding Aaniie began in two very different places: the acute-care floor of a hospital and my own family’s home.
Before founding Aaniie, I spent years working in acute care healthcare technology, where I experienced firsthand how difficult it was for clinicians to deliver exceptional care while navigating fragmented systems, paperwork, and administrative burdens.
At home, my family experienced another side of healthcare; one that revealed just how essential compassionate, coordinated care is to helping people remain independent as they age.
While my father moved between a nursing home and home, one thing never changed: he simply wanted to be cared for where he was happiest: in his own home.
Around the same time, my wife and I were balancing demanding careers while raising a young family. With the help of a nanny, I saw many of the same challenges in the childcare industry as well.
Those experiences changed the way I thought about care and the workflows that surround care delivery.
Technology should make care delivery simpler. It should never create more work for the people providing care. It should remove barriers so caregivers, office staff, and agency leaders can spend more time focused on what matters most: people.
On the other end, family members deserve insight into the care their loved ones are receiving.
Those experiences inspired us to build something different.
Not only because the industry needed a better home care software platform, but because home care agencies deserved a partner that understood their mission as deeply as they did.
Built So Agencies Could Thrive
Home care agencies face enormous pressure: Rising labor costs, caregiver shortages, increasing compliance requirements, complex billing, growing competition, and more expectations from clients and families than ever before.
Too often, technology has responded by asking agencies to stitch together another point solution, another login, another monthly subscription, another integration to manage.
At Aaniie, we do things differently.
We believe software shouldn’t force agencies to manage many different systems just to care for their clients. Everything works better when it’s connected. That’s the thinking behind our All-in-Aaniie approach: one platform, one source of truth, and one partner committed to helping agencies succeed.
From CRM and intake to scheduling, EVV, clinical documentation, billing, payroll, payments, rewards, retention, hiring compliance, reporting, and AI-powered insights, every part of the agency works together within a single platform.
That means less duplicate work, fewer errors, lower software costs, better visibility across your organization, and more time focused on growing your agency and serving your community.

Technology Is Only Part of the Story
While we’re proud of the technology we’ve built, software alone doesn’t make us different. People do.
In an industry where every missed shift matters and every delayed answer impacts care, support isn’t something agencies should have to wait for. We’ve heard the stories — waiting days, weeks, or even months for answers that never come. That’s simply not acceptable when people depend on you to deliver care.
That’s why our award-winning U.S.-based support team answers the phone, responds quickly, and understands the realities of running a home care agency. Our goal isn’t simply to resolve support tickets; it’s to help agencies become more efficient, more profitable, and more prepared for whatever comes next.
We believe your software company should feel like an extension of your team, not just another vendor. We’re proud to have achieved the #1 ranking for Quality of Support on G2 quarter after quarter. To us, that recognition isn’t just another award — it’s validation that putting people first still matters.

What “Care to Be Different” Really Means
Care to Be Different means partnering with agencies that believe there is a better way to deliver care.
To us, Care to Be Different means:
- Building technology that simplifies work instead of creating more of it.
- Treating customers like partners, not support tickets.
- Putting caregivers, office staff, and families at the center of every decision.
- Never settling for “good enough” when there’s a better way to deliver care.
Those principles guide every decision we make: from the products we build to the support we provide and the relationships we form with our customers.
The future of home care won’t be built by doing things the way they’ve always been done. It will be built by agencies — and technology partners — willing to think differently.
That’s what “Care to Be Different” means to us:
Care to be exceptional. Care to be people-first. Care to be all-in-one. Care to be connected. Care to be smarter. Care to be innovative. Care to be profitable. Care to be extraordinary.
Because the future of home care belongs to those who care to be different.
